Sandy Creek First Graders Showcase Reading Abilities

First grade students at Sandy Creek Elementary School recently showcased their reading talents during a Reading Tea event.

Reading Tea is an annual event at the school where each first grader is permitted to invite one guest to their classroom to celebrate the student’s reading and writing achievements.

Each student had a bin of books on their desk and would read each book to their guests, creating a sense of accomplishment for the students and a sense of pride for the guests.
