Sandy Creek Middle Schools students came together for a community building day and took the opportunity to say thank you to several often overlooked departments during the holiday season.

The students who spent several days baking and decorating some tasty treats, then made special thank you trays of goodies, along with holiday cards to recognize several different departments in the district including the transportation department, the custodial staff, food service, technology, office staff members and more.
The departments were very grateful for the special recognition and the delicious goodies and the students had a great time preparing and delivering the surprises.
Following their work time, the students watched a holiday movie and also enjoyed a special pizza dinner with their fellow students and teachers.
The social and team building time helps to unify students across the group and allow for important social time outside of the classroom.
