Showing Off Their Patriotic Side

OSWEGO, NY – Residents showed off their patriotic side as Morningstar Residential Care Center kicked off its National Nursing Home Week celebration with a flag waving parade featuring wheelchairs all decked out in red, white and blue.

The theme for Morningstar’s National Nursing Home Week is ‘Spirit of America.’

Each day of the week will feature a different, uniquely American event, from apple pie contests to BBQs.

“It’s a fun filled week for our residents. I encourage family members to join us for the festivities,” said recreational therapy director Linda Taylor, LPN.
