Spreading Some Christmas Cheer

FULTON, NY – Participants in Catholic Charities of Oswego County’s Step By Step Wellness Program display some of the toys they purchased for the family they adopted for Christmas.

Through Catholic Charities’ Adopt a Family program community members have the opportunity to adopt a family for Christmas and make the holiday season a little more memorable by providing gifts for those less fortunate.

Using a wellness recovery model that provides services to adults diagnosed with a mental illness, the Step By Step Wellness Program provides a variety of programming that supports clients with their recovery, promotes wellness, combats the stigma of mental illness, and helps them maintain independence in the community.
