Witmer, who was instrumental in starting the Oswego County chapter 11 years ago, told the club that the foundation is a volunteer-powered charity committed to funding the most promising research to find cures for childhood cancers.

“Brave The Shave” evolved into shaving your head to help raise these funds.

The 10th annual St. Baldrick’s day in Oswego County is scheduled for April 10 in Oswego.

There are many ways to get involved with the foundation if you don’t want to shave your head.

Contact Witmer at 529-5154 or [email protected]

The Fulton Sunrise Rotary meets every Friday at 7 a.m. at Mimi’s in Fulton.
