OSWEGO – St. Luke Health Services played host to an end of the semester “Mardi Gras Bash” social event, put on by the SUNY Oswego Adopt-A-Grandparent program.

Seniors from across the county were welcomed by student chaperones.
Colorful Mardi Gras-themed decorations filled St. Luke’s Riverview Room, and guests enjoyed a dinner catered by the Dinosaur BBQ. Music by Jimmy D and The Jury kept the dance floor in use while area seniors chatted, laughed and enjoyed keeping company with the college students.
Dinner and musical entertainment were courtesy of the Adopt-A-Grandparent program.
“The annual spring social event sponsored by the SUNY Oswego Adopt-A-Grandparent Program is a much enjoyed tradition that we have been fortunate to participate in for some time,” said Donna Rose, St. Luke’s director of activities. “Making this year all the more special for our residents was the opportunity to host the many who came from across Oswego County who attended. The Adopt-A-Grandparent Program provides opportunities to bring students and seniors together for meaningful interaction, which benefits both generations. Thank you to all the students who took time out to join in this wonderful event, and who participate in the program throughout the year.”
