Students Collect Supplies for Local Animal Shelters

When students in Helen Perth’s Summer School class at Oswego County BOCES were reviewing current events in class one day, they read about a dog that had been tossed from truck and abandoned. The dog, later named Angel, was rescued and is being cared for in a local shelter. The story spurred the class to action and they decided to do something to support local shelters in their care for homeless and abandoned animals. The students crafted fleece toys to donate to the shelter and collected items such as food, treats, cat litter, blankets and bedding, dog and cat toys and much more.
