Students Hear Citizenship Message

FULTON – City of Fulton Mayor Ronald Woodward Sr. visited Fairgrieve Elementary School students to discuss what it means to be a good citizen.
He commended students for showing respect to their community and country after they recited the Pledge of Allegiance and sang a patriotic song during the school’s Morning Express program.
Students defined good citizenship as respecting others and lending a helping hand when needed.
Woodward said honoring traffic signs and safety rules are also great examples of being a good citizen within the community.
He has been invited to the building for the past few years to speak with students about citizenship, which is the school’s virtue of the month for June.
