Students Rewarded for Positive Behavior at Lanigan

Friends forever – Mrs. Waldron’s fourth grade students Claire Broderick and Christina Tallents make rubber band friendship bracelets during a recent PBIS reward day. Participants could choose to make a pattern, or from a variety of colors.

Lanigan Elementary School recently held a PBIS (Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports) Reward Day for students.

The reward day recognized students for being role models of the school’s four behavioral expectations: Be Respectful, Be Responsible, Be Safe and Be a Problem Solver.

The PBIS celebration started with a character assembly.

Students in grades three through six celebrated with activities during the morning, while kindergarten through second was rewarded in the afternoon.

Students could choose from many sessions, including crafts, dodge ball and board games.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Celebration spots- Cutting out snowflakes are fifth graders Brady Zych and Dominick Hofmann. Other students in the PBIS session decorated their snowflakes with glitter, and made a handprint reindeer ornament.
