Performing artists in the Altmar-Parish-Williamstown Central School District had their moment in the spotlight at the Junior/Senior High School’s Annual Talent Show.
The show featured nine acts, roughly 25 performers and two stand-up comedians.

Michael Hale and Cole Pappa served as the emcees.
Highlights from the evening include:
Allie Rice singing “Rock God” by Selena Gomez; Rose Wilson performing a choreographed dance to “Sound the Bugle” by Bryan Adams; Lorraine Sampson singing a rocking rendition of “Eye of the Tiger” by Survivor; a trio of Rachel Mitchell, Mikaela Derby and Kyle Osson performing “Say Something” by A Big World; Christopher Douglas performing “Patience” by Guns and Roses; Kerri Muckey singing “A Thousand Years” by Christina Perri; Shania Comtois’ sign language interpretation of “Too Late to Apologize” by One Republic; Cierra Stone dancing to a song from Legally Blonde called “Omigod You Guys;” two songs by a quartet of Mikaela Derby, David French, Lacey Kowalski and Riley Corcoran; a solo guitar and singing performance by Eric Smith; a dance to Taylor Swift’s “You Belong With Me” by Jadin DeGraw; Nova Kowalski singing “Gravity” by Sara Bareilles; Emerlin Leja performing “At Last” by Etta James; and a comical skit featuring students dressed as their favorite faculty member.
The APW Junior/Senior High School Music Department sponsors the annual talent showcase as a way to celebrate performing arts and highlight some of the students’ and sometimes faculty members’ hidden talents.
