OSWEGO – The seventh annual Talent Show at Leighton Elementary was held recently and included 40 students, performing 25 acts, and all with a diverse range of talents, according to Jenn Symborski, Leighton School literacy specialist and talent show coordinator.

Students in grades 4-6 participated in the event, and performed in a variety of acts that included singers, dancers, acro dancers, daring devil sticks, and even synchronized swimming.
Sydny Frantz captured first place for singing “Call Me Maybe.”
Second place winners were Ryan Bartlett, Sophia Brosch, Megan Cheeley, Kyle Familo, and Hunter Mills for their synchronized swimming.
Third place was Riley Petit for her dancing to the song “Unstoppable.”
According to Symborski, the event included a canned food collection that will be donated to the Human Concerns Center and the students wanted to share a special thanks to Lighthouse Lanes for donating the grand prize of a bowling party for five people.
