SUNY Canton Students to Receive Awards at Honors Convocation

CANTON, NY – More than 150 SUNY Canton students will receive awards during the Sheldon Katz Honors Convocation.

The event will be held at 4:15 p.m. April 20, in Roos House Convocation, Athletic and Recreation Center.

The college’s Honors Convocation is an annual, formal ceremony designed to recognize students’ academic, civic and overall achievement. Each year, the ceremony is named in honor of the most dedicated and revered faculty members of the college’s history.

Students are recognized for having the highest grade point average in their major and class year.

Haley L. Purdy of Hastings. Purdy is a 2015 graduate of Paul V Moore High School and is currently a second semester freshman in SUNY Canton’s Business Administration Associate of Applied Science program.

Paige M. Hart of Oswego. Hart is a 2012 graduate of Oswego High School and is currently a junior in SUNY Canton’s Graphic and Multimedia Design Bachelor of Technology program.

Brooke C. Krassowski of Oswego. Krassowski is a 2014 graduate of Oswego High School and is currently a junior in SUNY Canton’s Information Technology Bachelor of Technology program.

Joshua Sova of Oswego. Sova is a 2012 graduate of Oswego High School and is currently a junior in SUNY Canton’s Industrial Technology Management Bachelor of Technology program.

Trenton T. Yule of Oswego. Yule is a 2012 graduate of Oswego High School and is currently a first semester sophomore in SUNY Canton’s Industrial Technology Management Bachelor of Technology program.

Megan Taylor of Phoenix. Taylor is a 2009 graduate of John C Birdlebough High School and is currently a senior in SUNY Canton’s Criminal Investigation Bachelor of Technology program.

Hunter R. Hilton of Pulaski. Hilton is a 2015 graduate of Pulaski Academy and Central School and is currently a second semester freshman in SUNY Canton’s Homeland Security Bachelor of Technology program.
