OSWEGO – Students from the SUNY Oswego Adopt-A-Grandparent Program made an introductory meeting with residents at St. Luke Health Services to get acquainted and to plan activities together for the coming year.

The students and residents will be meeting weekly during the semester, to share time together while undertaking various projects.
“We are fortunate to have such a dedicated bunch of students from the college who come and interact with our residents,” said Diane Garcia, assistant director of Activities and St. Luke. “Our residents get a lot out of the program and if you are able to watch them together, so do the students. This is a great way to keep our folks connected with their community and a wonderful service opportunity for students from SUNY Oswego to learn from our seniors.”
