OSWEGO – More than 1,250 SUNY Oswego students participated in the fall semester’s Miss-A-Meal fundraiser, netting $4,159 for United for Puerto Rico, a fundraising collaborative to provide relief to the Hurricane Maria-damaged island.

From left are junior political science major Dalton Bisson, president of the Student Association; sophomore broadcasting and mass communication major Connor Douglass, Miss-A-Meal chair and a second-year Student Association senator-at-large; Loni Clemons, a cashier at Lakeside Dining Hall; and Ruth Stevens, director of resident dining for Auxiliary Services.
Since at least the early 1960s, Oswego students have carried the tradition forward, skipping a meal each semester and donating what they would have spent to one or more charitable organizations.
