For several years the Youth Group at Mount Pleasant United Methodist Church has attended Reach Work Camp during the summer.

Reach, a nationwide youth mission, is now in its 22nd year and is designed to provide teens with an opportunity to help the elderly, handicapped and needy families who need repairs done on their homes.

This year a number of teens from Mount Pleasant Youth Mission along with youth group leaders traveled to Cairo, NY.

They recently returned after a week of doing work such as painting re-shingling roofs, deck building, repairing floors, etc.

The teens raised their own funds to cover both the costs of the camp and the materials used at homes, so there was no expense to the owners.

The youths of Mount Pleasant will be starting this years group, September 7 and is open to teens grade 7-12.

The church is located on County Route 45, Fulton.
