FULTON – CNY Arts Center is thrilled to announce the cast for the first show of the 2018 season, The Curious Savage under the direction of Dana Thomas. The production runs February 9-18, 2018, at the Arts Center located at 11 River Glen Drive on the Cayuga College Fulton Campus.

The zany cast includes Nicole Merrill in the title role as Mrs. Savage, a widow bequeathed her husband’s considerable fortune which she has hidden to keep her greedy stepchildren from finding.
Kevin Colvin, Marguerite Beebe and Cindy Grower play the roles of Titus, Lily Belle, and Samantha Savage, respectively.
To take control of their uncooperative stepmother, the adult children have committed her to an institution inhabited by a colorful assortment of characters played by Glen Merrill as Hannibal, Beth De Rousie as Mrs. Paddy, Elizabeth Ladd as Fairy Mae, and Willow Eckel as Florence, each with their own particular oddities.
With Chuck Teska as Dr. Emmett and Dylan Andrew as Ms. Willie, the nurse, the lively shenanigans deliver plot after plot to foil attempts to seize the prize.
Written by John Patrick and produced by special arrangement with Dramatists Play Service, The Curious Savage celebrates director Dana Thomas in her directing debut.
As part of the mentoring program at the Arts Center, at least one new director per season brings a work they are passionate about delivering to an audience. The play was a highlight of her high school acting career at Phoenix High School. Dana was seen onstage last season in Godspell.
New for 2018, the Arts Center is offering early bird discounted tickets for two weeks only in advance of each production.
Curious Savage early bird tickets are on sale from December 18-30.
Tickets may be purchased online only at www.CNYArtsCenter.com.
