The Market Is Strong At Sharp Elementary School

It was a bull market at Lura M. Sharp Elementary School when 17 teams from the school’s fifth grade classes invested $100,000 each in theoretical money into company stocks as they participated in The Stock Market Game.

At the end of three months, seven of the teams had realized a profit, and one team stood out as the Stock Market Game champions.

The team not only bested the rest of the Lura M. Sharp teams, but they took first place among 45 regional teams in the Central New York area.

Team members Logan Godfrey, Daulton Evans and Aidan McCormack also were ranked 28th overall in the state out of 2,620 teams from elementary to high school grades.
