TRAVELER ADVISORY: Temporary Speed Limit Change for New York State Fair

The New York State Department of Transportation is alerting area motorists of a temporary speed limit reduction on I-690 and NY 695 in the vicinity of the New York State Fairgrounds.

The seasonal reduction is enacted to remind travelers of periods of higher than normal and/or slower than usual traffic, the presence of out of town drivers, and the temporary signal in place on I-690, which is used to control traffic movements out of the upper (orange) parking lot.

This speed limit reduction, from 65 MPH to a posted speed of 55 MPH, will remain in place from August 24 until September 9.
