During a recent assembly at Volney Elementary School, students were praised for exemplifying positive behavior traits and serving as role models throughout the month of May.

Nearly 50 students from throughout the school were recognized for their positive character.
Principal Lisa Garofalo proudly presented some students with the “On-a-Roll” Model award for portraying the monthly virtue of effort.
Garofalo also recognized students who exhibited the characteristics of a role model throughout the month of May.
The monthly classroom role model awards went to the following students:

Chase Green, Bella Vant, Juliet Schnall, Jeffery Conklin, Alaina Reynolds, Conner Rowe, Caleb Turner, Anna Miner, Julian Graziano, Ava Ditton, Haven Hicks, Alaynna Dashnau, Aiden Baldwin, Abbigail Gist, Zach Ranieri, Daniel Ligoci, Noah Morales, Mary Jerred, Ethan Jacobson, Kalista Reynolds, Brandon Grow, Niya Emmons and Mackenzie Palmer.
The monthly “On-a-Roll” Model awards were presented to the following students:
Jazelle Cruz, Cassidy Calaman, Payton Parkhurst, Destiny Newton, Mikaylee Vail, Dylan Rogers, Claire Murray, Scott Cook, Tyler Ingersoll, Tyler Ditton, Nick Barbagallo, Ellie Parkhurst, Anthony Currier, Emilee Vant, Elizabeth Carter, Mariah Sherman, Troy Zbikowski, Ben Roberts, David Wells, Samantha McRae and Corinne Clarke.
