OSWEGO, NY – Concetta Gianetto Pauldine, 90, of East Fifth Street, Oswego, died Sunday November 19, 2017, at Pontiac Rehabilitation Center, Oswego.
Mrs. Pauldine was born in Oswego, the daughter of the late Dominic and Rose (Barbera) Gianetto.
Mrs. Pauldine owned and operated Connie’s Beauty Shop in Oswego.
She was the inventor of the rotating hair brush.
Mrs. Pauldine was a seamstress and she was an antique collector.
She was a communicate of St. Joseph Church.
Mrs. Pauldine was predeceased by her husband, Ralph V. Pauldine, in 1993; her son, John Pauldine, in 1972; and her granddaughter.
Mrs. Pauldine is survived by her children, Mary Linda (Kevin) Plummer of Oswego, Ralph (Denise) Pauldine of Oswego, Joseph (Gia) Pauldine, Anthony Pauldine of Oswego, Michael Pauldine, of Oswego and James (Kathy) Pauldine of Oswego; and her brother, Anthony Gianetto of California.
She is also survived by 45 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and great-great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Pauldine was predeceased by her siblings, Joseph Gianetto and Mary Moshier.
When Mrs. Pauldine was a young child, she would talk through the fence to the refugee children at the Safe Haven, where friendships were forged.
Funeral services will be conducted Friday, November 24, at 10 a.m. in St. Joseph’s Church.
Burial will be in St. Peter’s Cemetery.
Calling hours will be 4 to 6 p.m. Wednesday, November 22, at the Sugar & Scanlon Funeral Home 147 W. Fourth St. Oswego.
