Connections Women’s Symposium Scheduled for Oct. 29

OSWEGO, NY – On October 29, Women’s Network for Entrepreneurial Training (WNET) and SUNY Oswego’s Office of Business and Community Relations will gather women from across New York State for Connections, a day-long conference to be held at River Vista Center in Fulton from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

This day-long symposium is something you won’t want to miss.

Women employees and business owners need inspiration, ideas, information, and other women to network with.

The theme for this year’s event is “Connect – Pursue – Advance” and will feature several dynamic speakers, networking opportunities, continental breakfast, lunch, a dessert reception, and a women’s marketplace.

Again this year, headshots will be offered by Dayger Photography, with no sitting fee.

Hair and makeup touch-ups will also be available.

New this year, we are featuring Bee-Hive Networking.

What is Bee-Hive Networking? Only the greatest, most successful, most dynamic and most popular new networking activity ever created.

It is a business building activity that allows you to find exactly what you are looking for in a very short period of time.

There are no elevator speeches, no selling, and no fears or discomforts.

Does it work?

Each attendee could walk away with an average of 12-20 cards of qualified prospects who want to meet them.

Why should I attend?

You will make more contacts and more connections than at any other networking event you’ve ever attended.

Come “catch the buzz” at the Bee-Hive Networking Game.

Please be sure to come armed with 100 business cards.

“Connections offers an outstanding opportunity for women to learn from each other, generate new ideas, and build relationships with like-minded women,” said Evelyn LiVoti, Connections’ co-chair.  “We are very excited to be introducing Bee-Hive Networking this year. Going home with qualified leads is a true benefit of attending Connections.”

Sponsors to date include SUNY Oswego’s Office of Business and Community Relations, Women’s Network for Entrepreneurial Training, Operation Oswego County and Mitchell’s Speedway Press.

Registration and tickets for Connections are available through the Tyler Hall Box Office, tickets.oswego.edu
