The New York Constables Association has announced that they have endorsed Fulton’s City Court Judge Spencer J. Ludington for re-election in November 2008. The president of the association, Robert Dalton of Phoenix, New York, stated: “We believe that Judge Ludington has proven to be a hard working, firm and fair judge. Dalton also said: “Judge Ludington’s judicial experience over the past 12 years makes him the most qualified candidate for the position as Fulton City Court Judge. He continued by stating: “We are confident that Judge Ludington will continue to serve the people of Fulton in a fair and equitable manner.”

In thanking the Association for their support, Ludington stated: “I am honored that the men and women of the New York Constables Association have endorsed me for re-election. The Constables are a critical component in keeping our courthouses safe.” Ludington continued: “To have the support of the people who have an intimate knowledge of the daily activities of the Court is especially gratifying.”

Constables in New York serve over 250 municipalities. The organization is the only organization that specifically represents constables and their interests.
