Constellation Energy Nuclear Group (CENG) today announced that its Nine Mile Point Nuclear Station contributed $5,000 to the Oswego County Hospice Cup Regatta, continuing as the eventâ€™s title sponsor.
CENG has been the Title Sponsor for several years. The Regatta and Walk/ Run for Hope is the major, annual fundraiser in support of the Oswego County Hospice Program.
Last yearâ€™s Hospice Cup Regatta raised more than $18,000 that is being used to help Hospice patients and their families at a time when they need it the most. The money raised at the Regatta helps to also defray some of the non-medical expenses that a family facing life-limiting illnessâ€™ deal with including: mortgage, heat and grocery bills.
Oswego County Hospice is a not-for-profit organization committed to supporting Oswego County Hospice in assisting terminally ill patients and their families. Money raised by the Friends of Oswego County Hospice provides resources and supplies to patients and their families, maintains the Hospice volunteer program and funds Camp Rainbow of Hope, a bereavement program for children who have experienced the loss of a loved one.
