Constellation Energy Sponsors the Heroes for the American Red Cross Campaign.

[Oswego, NY] This March, which is celebrated nationwide as Red Cross Month, a group of local “Heroes” are working hard to help the Red Cross continue its services in Oswego County.  The Annual Heroes for the American Red Cross Campaign Kicks off March 1st and will continue through June 7th

“Heroes for the American Red Cross Campaign”  sponsored by Constellation Energy is a grassroots campaign where local business people, school groups, church groups, civic clubs, and individuals pledge to raise $1000 for their local Red Cross chapter. This year, the Central New York Region hopes to raise $80,000 during this campaign to support Red Cross services including disaster relief, assistance for fire victims, emergency military communications, first aid and CPR training and disaster preparedness information for our community.  “Constellation Energy Nuclear Group, the operator of Nine Mile Point Nuclear Station in Oswego, proudly invests in organizations, like the American Red Cross, that improve the quality of life in our communities and protect the basic needs of individuals,” said Jill Lyon. “We’d like to commend the American Red Cross for the work they do and their efforts to help those in need every day.”

“We are truly grateful for the partnership we have with Constellation Energy in this campaign.  They have supported the Heroes campaign for many years along with other events and we  hope that we can continue our relationship with them for years to come” said Danielle Hayden, Branch Manager of the Red Cross.

On June 30th the Red Cross will have a Heroes Recognition Night at the Syracuse Sky Chiefs. This will give us the chance to have our heroes and their families join us for a night out and to thank them for helping us reach our goal.  The Hero who raises the most money in this campaign will get a chance to watch the game from a private sky box with 16 of their closest friends including food and beverage.  The Sky Box was graciously donated by Tony Dannibal of Dannibal and McKee, LLP.
