MEXICO – Cornell Cooperative Extension of Oswego County is accepting registrations into its Summer Shooting Sports Program.

Summer Shooting Sports Program.

Summer Shooting Sports Program planned

The program is also valuable for helping youth develop self-confidence, personal discipline, responsibility, teamwork, self-esteem and sportsmanship.

The Oswego County Shooting Sports Program is not a hunter safety education program.

This program is open to all girls and boys ages 12 to 19 who are interested in shotgun, muzzleloading, or rifle.

The programs will be conducted as a six-week course concluding with a combined field day in August.

The Summer Shooting Sports Sampler program will be held on Wednesdays from 6-8 p.m. beginning July 11.

The first two weeks will be held at Lock Stock and Barrel in Volney, and the final four weeks will be at Leatherstocking in New Haven.

To learn more about an upcoming rifle only course, please contact Linda Brosch at 315-963-7286 or [email protected]

The instructors are volunteers who are chosen for their ability to teach and their skill at relating to youth.

Partial scholarships are available through a donation from the Oswego County Federation of Sportsmen’s Clubs.

During WWII, the Boy Scouts refused money from the nra (nonsensical rifle addiction) for fears they would be viewed as a co-military organization, similar to the hitler youth. Flash forward to 2018: the Boy Scouts receive million$ from the nra (nonsensical rifle addiction) to addict future conscripts.
