Cop Logs: Sheriff’s Office 10/03/2018


On 9/23/18 at 3 a.m., Jacob J. Beach, 18, of 228 E Albany St., Oswego, was operating a 1993 Honda south on CR 57 in the town of Volney, 50 feet north of CR 45, when a tire on the vehicle reportedly blew causing him to lose control and the vehicle to exit the roadway and strike a mailbox and unattended parked vehicle registered to Drew S. Thomas, 44, of 3681 CR 57, Oswego.
Mr. Beach was issued a UTT for Speeding.

On 9/26/18 at 6:35 p.m., Scott M. Clark, 47, of 1758 CR 45, Fulton, was charged with Registration Suspended; Operating MV w/o Inspection Certificate and No License following a traffic stop on CR 6 in the town of Schroeppel.
Mr. Clark is scheduled to answer the charges on 10/12/18 in the Town of Schroeppel Court.

On 9/27/18 at 10:11 p.m., David L. Walker, 25, of 1347 SR 49, Williamstown, was charged with Registration Suspended following a traffic stop on SR 104 in the town of Mexico.
Mr. Walker is scheduled to answer the charge on 10/16/18 in the Town of Mexico Court.

On 10/1/18 at 12:52 p.m., Lynn M. Wise, 50, of 460 CR 32, Hastings, was operating a 2013 Chevrolet pickup north on Perfield Road in the town of Hastings when the vehicle reportedly collided with a 2017 Subaru traveling west at the intersection with Wilson Road and being operated by Maryann Garbooshain, 59, of 411 Pangborn Road, Hastings.
Ms. Wise was transported by ambulance to St. Joseph’s Hospital in Syracuse.
Unsafe speed seems to have been a contributing factor.

On 10/2/18 at 2:04 a.m., Sean M. O’Neill, 24, of 38 E. Stone Road, Mexico, was operating a 2014 Chevrolet west on SR 3 in the town of Palermo, 50 feet west of CR 35A, when he reportedly fell asleep causing the vehicle to exit the roadway and strike a light pole.
Mr. O’Neill was charged with AUO, 3rd degree

On 10/2/18 at 7:46 a.m., Joshua R. Christopher, 22, of 381 Klocks Corners Road, Oswego, was arrested based on an arrest warrant issued out of the Town of Mexico Court.
Mr. Christopher was arraigned in the Town of Mexico Court and remanded to the OCJ in lieu of $250 cash or $500 bond with a return to court on 10/9/18.

On 10/2/18 at 7:51 a.m., Brandon W. Ceratt, 34, of 180 Rochester St., Hannibal, was operating a 2005 Nissan north on SR 34 in the town of Hannibal, 1 mile south of Durham Road, when he reportedly lost control causing the vehicle to exit the roadway into a ditch then strike a tree.
Mr. Ceratt and a passenger, Arianna M. Ceratt, 4, were transported by ambulance to Upstate Medical Center in Syracuse.
Unsafe speed and driver distraction seem to have been contributing factors.

On 10/2/18 at 11:45 a.m., Rita M. Powers, 39, of 2168 CR 1, Oswego, was arrested for Promoting Prison Contraband, 2nd degree, a class A misdemeanor following an incident in the Oswego County Correctional Facility.
She is a current resident and was allegedly found to be in possession of a white powdery substance known as “Street Molly.”
Ms. Powers is scheduled to answer the charge on 10/9/18 in the City of Oswego Court.

On 10/2/18 at 12:08 p.m., Raymond William Hart, 46, of 516 E. Willow St., Apt. B5, Syracuse, was arrested based on a Bench Warrant issued out of the Town of New Haven Court.
Mr. Hart was arraigned in the Town of Volney Court and remanded to the OCJ in lieu of $1,000 cash or $2,000 bond with a return to Town of New Haven Court on 10/4/18.

On 10/2/18 at 4:11 p.m., Jose A. Colon, 50, of 3551 SR 3, Fulton, was charged with Registration Suspended following a traffic stop on SR 3 in the town of Volney.
Mr. Colon is scheduled to answer the charge on 11/5/18 in the Town of Volney Court.
