OSWEGO – The Oswego County Legislature’s Human Services Committee recently recognized Oswego County Veterans Services Director Donna Kestner.

In July, the State Commander of the American Legion named her the 2015 Veterans Service Officer of the Year at the annual New York State Convention in Buffalo.
Kestner was presented this award in recognition of her outstanding professional proficiency in her role as director, a position which she has held for more than 10 years, as well as her innovative services and outstanding advocacy for veterans.
She is the 18th veterans advocate and New York State’s first female recipient of the award.
