CPR/ AED For the Professional Rescuer and the Healthcare Provider Review Class to be Held

OSWEGO, NY (December 8) – The American Red Cross will hold a one day review class for CPR/ AED for the Professional Rescuer and the Healthcare Provider on Tuesday, December 21 from 5:30p.m to 10:30p.m. The class will be held at the Oswego branch office located at 333 West First Street, Oswego, NY, and is designed for first responders to an emergency scene.

This class will provide the skills needed to respond appropriately to breathing and cardiac emergencies in adults, children, and infants.  The skills learned are useful for providing temporary care until further medical help arrives on the scene. The class will teach participants to understand the Emergency Action Principles when providing emergency care for a victim, and how to access the Emergency Medical System. Participants will also be trained in two-rescuer CPR, resuscitation, and the use of a bag-valve mask.

The course is directed towards those with a duty to act and provide care for people who need immediate help. The class teaches lifesaving training necessary to quickly help victims of an emergency. Being certified and having an up-to-date knowledge of emergency situations and appropriate actions can help save a life.
