CPR/AED Adult Review Class to Be Held
OSWeGO, NY (December 8) – The American Red Cross of Central New York will offer an Adult CPR/AED review class on Tuesday, December 28th, from 5:30p.m until 8:30p.m at the Oswego County branch office located at 333 West First Street in Oswego. This class is designed for members of the public or anyone who would like to be prepared and able to respond to emergency situations.
Participants will learn a variety of ways to be prepared and respond to an emergency situation. The skills learned are important and valuable, because one can never know when an emergency will occur. Skills learned during this class will include: providing aid in breathing emergencies using cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and an automated external defibrillator (AED) for victims of sudden cardiac arrest, how to care for a person who is choking, how to move a person from a dangerous scene, and how to identify the signals of shock and minimize its effects.
