CPR/AED Child & Infant Class To Be Held

The American Red Cross will hold a CPR/AED Child and Infant class on Tuesday, May 18, from 5:30pm to 10:30pm at the Oswego branch office located at 333 West First Street in Oswego. This is a great opportunity for who is responsible for the oversight and care for children and infants, whether it’s at work, within the family, or in a neighborhood setting

Participants will get the opportunity to learn how to recognize and respond to an emergency, when and how to move a child or infant from a dangerous scene and how to check a conscious child or infant for life-threatening and non-life-threatening conditions. Skills and training like how to care for a child or infant who is choking and being able to identify when and how to use an AED on a child will also be taught throughout class. Upon completion participants will be able to overcome any reluctance to act in emergency situations and to recognize and care for life-threatening respiratory or cardiac emergencies in children and infants.

This convenient class is a great opportunity to receive the training and skills necessary when handling children and infants. If interested and would like more information, please contact the branch office at 343-0967 or visit the Red Cross on the web at www.redcrosscny.org .
