OSWEGO, NY – Cub Scout Pack 809 is planning a pancake breakfast.
The event will be a fundraiser for the pack.
The breakfast will be held on November 10 from 8 – 11:30 a.m. at the Oswego Elks Lodge, 135 W. Fifth St.
The menu will consist of pancakes, French toast, eggs, bacon, sausage, orange juice and coffee.
Tickets are $7 for adults, $5 for children 5-11, and under 5 are free.
Pre-sale tickets are available, but walk-ins are welcome.
The scouts are asking that guests of the breakfast please bring a canned good for their scouting for food campaign, which will go to the Fitzhugh Park Care and Share program.
The funds raised will be used for supplies for the pack which has tripled its numbers in the past year.
Money will also be used for awards and recognition for the boys and financial assistance for lower income families that want to be involved in the Cub Scouts family.
The pack meets on Tuesday nights at 6:30 at Fitzhugh Park School to learn about core values and character development through fun activities, games, crafts, and field trips, that will be carried with them into adulthood.
They learn about Cooperation, Respect, Citizenship, and Positive attitude all while abiding by the founders view that “Cub Scouts is a Game with a Purpose.”
Past events have included, bowling, camping at Jellystone, and an Overnight at Midway Drive in theatre.
Upcoming events include an overnight at the MOST, swimming and rollerskating.
