Curious Savage To Be Staged At Phoenix High School

PHOENIX – The Curious Savage is coming to JCB High School on November 3, 4 and 5.

The JCB Drama Boosters is ready to provide some comic relief with its fall production, The Curious Savage, which will leave you knowing that world has been made a better place by this fanciful group of personalities.

The play takes place in a sanatorium called The Cloisters where an elderly widow, Ethel Savage, was committed there by her greedy stepchildren.

Mrs. Savage has been left ten million dollars by her husband.

Her wish is to make the best use of her money, in spite of her grownup stepchildren’s efforts to take it away from her by committing her to the Sanatorium.

While in The Cloisters, Ethel makes new friends.

Their eclectic personalities help make this adventure more fun and comical.

As she befriends this group of people, she realizes she must use her fortune to help others realize their hopes and dreams.

The self-serving stepchildren do their best to recover the hidden money but alas they are beaten by the residents.

An entertaining and fanciful comedy, this is one play that will leave you pleased that greed and dishonestly can be overcome with compassion and warmth.

Come out and enjoy this wonderful cast of characters as they take you on a frantic game of cat and mouse of who has the money.

Show times are November 3 at 4 p.m., November 4 at 7:30 p.m. and November 7 at 7:30 p.m.

Cost for students and senior citizens is $4 and $5 for adults.

The play is general admission seating.
