Curran, Proud Racing Fundraisers Set This Weekend

OSWEGO, NY – Oswego Speedway racing fundraisers are set for this upcoming weekend for both Novelis Supermodified veteran Jerry Curran and 2014 Pathfinder Bank Small Block Super Rookie of the Year Camden Proud.

Curran, a two-time main event winner in Oswego’s headline Novelis Supermodified division behind the wheel of the Nuclear Banana No. 24, will hold his annual fundraiser at the Woodchuck Saloon on March 28, beginning at noon.

Chicken BBQ or pulled pork meals will be on sale Saturday for $10, with takeout dinners also available.  Several door prizes, entertainment, and a 50/50 raffle will be take place during the day.

The second annual Proud Racing Fundraiser will take place on March 29 at Lighthouse Lanes, beginning at noon.

Chicken BBQ or pulled pork meals will again be available for $10, with door prizes, a lotto board, NASCAR and NHRA Racing, and more all a part of the day on Sunday.

Pre-sale dinners are also on sale and must be picked up on Sunday by 2 p.m.  Pre-sale tickets are available by calling (315) 532-0926 or by stopping into Step One Creative at 317 W. First St.

Oswego Speedway’s 2015 racing season will kick off on May 9 with the 65th annual opening night celebration featuring the lid-lifters for the Novelis Supermodifieds and Pathfinder Bank SBS, as well as the 75-lap Richie Evans Memorial for the Race of Champions Asphalt Modified Series presented by Planet Fitness and Mitchell’s Speedway Press.
