Cyclist Airlifted after Crash with Car in Fulton

Motorcycle Accident in Fulton – Update

FULTON, NY – At about 3:10 p.m. the Fulton Police Department was called to the intersection of West Seventh Street South and West Broadway for a reported motorcycle car accident.

The operator of the 2005 Suzuki motorcycle has been identified as 22-year-old Christopher Castiglia.

The initial investigation indicates that Castiglia was travelling westbound on West Broadway when a passenger vehicle pulled out from West Seventh Street South in an attempt to travel east on West Broadway.

The motorcycle then struck the driver’s side of the passenger vehicle.

Castiglia was taken by Mercy Flight to University Hospital, Syracuse, with a leg fracture and possible internal injuries.

The driver of the passenger vehicle, identified as 22-year-old Steven Vincent was not injured.

The investigation into the cause of the accident is still under investigation.

No tickets have been issued at this time.


A car and motorcycle collided Friday afternoon in Fulton.

The motorcyclist suffered serious injuries that are not expected to threaten his life, according to Fulton Police. The cyclist was airlifted to University Hospital by Mercy Flight.

Police say the cycle was traveling west on Broadway when a car that was stopped at W. Seventh St. turned onto Broadway, heading east.

The motorcycle operator was wearing a helmet, police said.
