Daniel A. ‘Moe’ Mulcahey, 72

OSWEGO, NY – Daniel A. (“Moe”) Mulcahey, 72, passed away on Sunday January 17, 2016, at Oswego Hospital after a brief battle with cancer.

He died peacefully, with his wife and daughters by his side.

He was born in Oswego on May 28, 1943, to the late Ford E. and Kathleen Gantz Mulcahey.

He was a life resident of Oswego.

Prior to his retirement, he was employed for more than 29 years at Inland Fisher Guide in Syracuse.

He was a member of UAW local No. 854.

He was predeceased by his son, Michael J. Mulcahey; and  brothers Robert, Joseph, Ford, Francis, Thomas and David Mulcahey.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Judith E. (Southgate) Mulcahey; daughters, Elizabeth H. Mulcahey and Melissa M. Mulcahey  both of Oswego;  his brother, Cornelius Mulcahey; and sisters, Kathleen (Bernard} Dzwonkas, Ann Rose (the late Charles) Frateschi and Geraldine (Ronald) Buckley; as well as several nieces and nephews.

At his request there will be no calling hours or funeral services.

Arrangements are in care of the Dain-Cullinan Funeral Home.

  1. I am saddened to hear of your loss. My heart goes out to Judy, Beth and Missy. I am out of town and unable to express my condolences in person but please know that you are in my thoughts and prayers.
