Daniel Bryant Ã¢â‚¬Å“DanÃ¢â‚¬Â Phillips, 48, of Rockledge, FL, passed away Saturday, September 19, 2009 at his residence after an 11 month battle with a rare form of renal carcinoma.
Born in Fulton, he attended Purdue University, where he lettered in lacrosse. Dan was Director of Environmental Services with SpecPro, where he oversaw all aspects of the environmental program for Cape Canaveral Air Force Station.
Surviving: his wife of 21 years, Diane; a daughter, Kristin; two sons, Bryant and Kyle, all of Rockledge, FL; mother, Helen (Richard) Sheldon of Fulton; father, Lawrence (Patricia) Phillips, Sr. of Fulton; sisters, Nancy (Jeffery) Roth of Port Byron, Patricia (James) Hanlon of Fulton, Donna (James) Egan of Liverpool and Susan (William) Beckwith of Fulton; brothers, Lawrence (Kelly) Phillips, Jr. and Randall (Martha) Phillips all of Fulton and several nieces and nephews.
A prayer service will be held 9 a.m. Saturday at Foster Funeral Home, Fulton with a 9:30 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at Holy Trinity Catholic Church (formerly The Church of the Immaculate Conception), corner of Rochester and South Third Streets, Fulton. Burial will be at St. MaryÃ¢â‚¬â„¢s Cemetery, Fulton. Calling hours are 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, 910 Fay Street, Fulton.
