CONSTANTIA – The beach at the David C. Webb Memorial Park in the Town of Constantia re-opened for swimming this morning (July 10).
Test results show that the beach on Oneida Lake is safe for swimming, the Oswego County Health Department announced today.
The beach was closed to swimming July 3 due to the presence of a blue-green algae bloom.
Blue-green algae bloom can cause skin and eye irritation on contact and nausea and vomiting if swallowed.
Water samples collected July 8 show that the algae bloom has subsided and the water is safe for swimming.
