David W. Tyrrell, 57

FULTON, NY – David W. Tyrrell, 57, of Fulton, passed away Wednesday May 28, 2014, at University Hospital, Syracuse, after a short illness.

Mr. Tyrrell was born in New Jersey to the late Daniel and Alice (Doran) Tyrrell Sr.

He was an auto mechanic at Country Auto Services, Pennellville, NY.

He had a great love of the outdoors and he enjoyed hunting and fishing.

He also played many sports over his lifetime including many softball and pool leagues.

He was predeceased by his brother, Danny Tyrrell, in 2010.

Mr. Tyrrell was very much loved and will be greatly missed by  his wife of 30 years, Patti Tyrrell of Fulton; two children David (Amber) Tyrrell Jr., of Fulton and Jovi (Carl) Tyrrell of Fulton; siblings:  Mary Tyrrell and Mike Tyrrell both of Fulton; grandchild: Stella; and several nieces, nephews,  in-laws and lifelong friends.

Funeral services will be held 9 a.m. Saturday in Holy Trinity Church where a mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated.

Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Fulton.

Calling hours will be conducted 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at the Sugar Funeral Home, 224 W. Second St. S., Fulton.


  1. I knew Dave and his family all my life, he was my fathers best friend. He will be sorely missed. Don’t know why these things happen to good people, will always have memories of Dave and my dad playing softball together. So instead of “Hello Dave” it’s “Goodbye Dave”. RIP will miss you buddy!

  2. I am so sorry for your loss, Dave was well liked. Be strong and be proud, he left this world a better place than it was when he arrived. God bless you all.
