Davis Named Red Cross’s Dunkin Donuts Volunteer of the Month

Georgia Davis is the American Red Cross of Central New York – Oswego Branch Dunkin Donuts Volunteer of the Month for October.Georgia has only been with the Red Cross for a little over a month but has gone above and beyond her volunteer duties. She recently heard of an opening in our office and came to us through Experience Works.  She had recently been working at the Pregnancy Care Center in Oswego which she enjoyed working with the clients and ministering the young girls.

The most rewarding aspect of working with the Red Cross is just being a part of the organization and being able to help out others in need. She enjoys the caring and friendly people that work at the Red Cross.

Georgia would strongly encourage others to take time out of their schedules and volunteer with the Red Cross.  She finds it very rewarding to help others even if it’s only taking some time to listen to them on the phone in their time of need and knowing that you have made a difference to them.

Georgia lives in Mexico NY with her husband Charles. They have 3 children, 2 sons that live inArizona, and a daughter who lives inPhoenixNY. She has 4 grandchildren and 3 step-grandchildren. She is a member of the Pulaski AG Church for the last 15 years and is a Sunday school teacher as well. Her hobbies are sewing, crafts and scrapbooking.

Congratulations to Georgia for being our Dunkin Donuts Volunteer of the Month for October.
