December Food $en$e Orders Due


Residents of Oswego may place their orders for December Food $en$e packages until noon on December 5.

The December package contains Salisbury steak, ground chicken, breakfast sausage, bacon, eggs, pancake mix, hash brown potatoes, breakfast sandwich, mixed vegetables, applesauce and fresh produce.

Payment of $15.50 or by EBT card must accompany the order.

Additional December specials at various prices include ham, shrimp, scalloped potatoes, meatloaf, cheddar pasta bake, mozzarella sticks and chicken tenders.

Orders must be placed in person at the Salvation Army Worship and Service Center, 73 W. Second St., Oswego, by noon on December 5 and orders must be picked up on December 17, between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m.

Orders cannot be taken by phone.

The Food $en$e program is a service of the Food Bank of Central New York.

A basic assortment of food items is offered each month, along with a number of specials.

Any Oswego families wishing to stretch their food dollars may use the program.

There are no restrictions on the number of items one may buy and there are no income limitations.

The Oswego County Salvation Army is the official site for the city of Oswego.

The Oswego County Salvation Army Corps provides fresh-cooked meals five days each week in both Fulton and Oswego, groceries from its food pantries, and many other services to individuals and families in need throughout Oswego County.

This year’s Christmas Kettle Campaign needs to raise $106,000 to support the work of the Army all year long.

There are opportunities for individuals and families, as well as organizations and groups of all kinds to lend a hand.
