Decker And Herzog Are This Week’s NAPA Know How Performers Of The Week At Brewerton, Fulton Speedways

By Dave Medler
BREWERTON, NY – Willy Decker and Colby Herzog for their results last weekend at the Brewerton and Fulton Speedways have earned this week’s “NAPA Know How” Performers of the week.

At the Brewerton Speedway, Willy Decker out of Vernon, NY, started 17th in the 35 lap Tracey Road Equipment Big Block Modified feature and had tough road ahead to get to the front. By lap 8, Decker sliced his way through the field to be in the top-ten as he set his sights on the front. Just before the halfway way point he worked into the top-five for the sprint to the finish. With four-laps to go he worked by some stout cars to move into second and then zero in on Matt Sheppard. Decker gave one tough run at Sheppard and ended up finishing second.

Coming from that deep in the pack, against the weekly field of cars at the “D-Shaped Dirt Demon” it’s a deserving award for Decker.

At the Fulton Speedway, high school student Colby Herzog brought home a second place finish in the Parts Plus Four Cylinder Stocks. On his way to his finish, Herzog passed former feature winners and drivers with a lot more experience than he has.

For their performances, both Decker and Herzog, will receive $100 “NAPA Know How Performer of The Week” that is awarded weekly at both Brewerton and Fulton Speedways to one driver that outperforms all others that week across all classes.

The new NAPA Brewerton and Fulton Speedway Racer Discount Card are again in place. Each active speedway competitor will receive a NAPA card that will provide discounted pricing on most racing related purchases throughout the 2012 race season.

Drivers will need to sign up with Speedway officials to be eligible for the program.
