Dede Scozzafava for Congress

As a private citizen, after 12 years of representing Oswego County in the New York State Assembly, I write to express my unequivocal support for Dede Scozzafava to succeed John McHugh in the 23rd Congressional District.
In the Assembly I sat next to Dede in the Chamber for four years. You get to know a person very well when you have one-on-one closeness over a period of time. I observed first-hand her dedication to the people she represents, her commitment to fulfilling the responsibilities of her office and her refreshingly independent stand when dealing with the out-of-control dysfunctional Albany hierarchy.

I had the up-close opportunity to see a caring mother, wife and daughter who always placed the needs of her family above her own. The fact that Dede was able to balance these personal and professional demands successfully is a testament to her outstanding capabilities.

As you know, I felt very privileged to represent our entire county in the Assembly and I continue to care deeply for the people of this district. I truly believe that we need to elect Dede Scozzafava to continue the outstanding Republican representation we have relied upon for the past 18 years from John McHugh.

My friend Dede is down-to-earth, intelligent, intellectually honest, unwaveringly loyal and absolutely committed to serving the best interests of the residents of the 23rd Congressional District. Please join my on Election Day, November 3rd, and vote for Dede Scozzafava.

Thank you,

Francis T. Sullivan

  1. This is a large district geographically, but no so large philosophically. People are hard working and at least in the southern part concerned about the abuses of power in Washington by the left leaning administration. The people in Fulton County have always counted John McHugh as a friend, so I thought that I’d take a minute and let you know what we think of De De Scozzafava as a replacement for our beloved congressman.
We are outraged! A pro-abortion, pro-gay marriage and anti 2nd Amendment replacement for John?
Supported by ACORN’s Working Families Party; endorsed by Daily Cos; and calling the police on reporters who dare ask her a question?

No thanks. We are crossing party lines and voting for Doug Hoffman. And we encourage everyone in the district to do so before it’s too late.
