OSWEGO, NY – A Cleveland woman struck a man with a tree branch and then stole his wallet, according to sheriff’s deputies.
At 5:49 a.m. on Friday, Sabrina E. Colvin, 26, of 243 State Route 49, Cleveland, was arrested for third-degree robbery, a class D felony.
Colvin was arraigned before Judge Avery, Village of Central Square Court, and released on her own recognizance.
She is scheduled to appear before Town of Constantia Court on July 8 to answer the charge.
Reportedly, as a male victim left his residence for work at approximately 5:30 a.m., Colvin struck him in the head with a tree branch, knocking him to the ground, then punched him in the face.
Colvin, identified by the victim, along with a man who joined her after coming out of a wooded area, fled on foot.
As the victim began to drive to work, he realized his wallet, containing his driver’s license, cash, and other documents, was missing and returned to notify police.
Along the drive back, he saw the pair walking on County Route 17.
While speaking to deputies, the pair approached the scene in a vehicle identified by the victim and a subsequent traffic stop was conducted, leading to the arrest.
The wallet was recovered from the side of the road on County Route 17 where it had been thrown.
