Town of Cicero, NY – The Onondaga County Sheriff’s Office reports that sheriff’s detectives are currently investigating the suspicious death of an unknown male and have charged a town of Cicero man with murder.
A Phoenix woman has also been charged as part of the investigation.
On December 16, at approximately 11:17 a.m., deputies responded to the Bay Shore North Apartment complex in Brewerton to investigate a complaint of a suspicious incident. Deputies investigating the complaint discovered evidence of a crime that occurred inside one of the apartments and notified detectives with the Criminal Investigations Division who responded to the scene.
A suspect was developed early on in the investigation and was subsequently located and taken into custody on Saturday (Dec. 17).
Detectives further discovered additional crime scenes in the northern portion of Onondaga County and southern portion of Oswego County, which remain active at this time.
Detectives charged Corey Slattery (28) of 9462 Chalkstone Course Brewerton, with murder in the 2nd degree and concealment of a human corpse. Slattery was arraigned in the Town of Cicero Court before Judge Demarche and is currently being held in the Justice Center without bail.
Detectives also charged 48-year-old Connie Ingoldby of 263 Bankrupt Road Phoenix, with hindering prosecution in the 1st degree and concealment of a human corpse.
Ingoldby was also arraigned before Judge Demarche, who set bail at $50,000 cash $100,000 bond.
The motive for the murder remains under investigation and detectives are working closely with the Onondaga County Medical Examiner’s Office to determine the identity of the unknown male and exact cause of death.
The investigation is ongoing and active.
