Diabetes Awareness Held At Mexico High School

MEXICO – Mexico High School students and staff members helped raise awareness of, and funds for, the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation during a recent Jeans Day.

Students and staff members were encouraged to wear blue, a color that symbolized the JDRF awareness efforts.

The MACS endeavor coincided with November as National Diabetes Awareness Month, an important initiative of the JDRF.

Donations were collected in the amount of $185 and will go toward the JDRF’s commitment to help finding a cure for those with Type 1 diabetes.

The Mexico Academy & Central School District thanks those students and employees who put a face to the illness and are encouraged by their peers who help support the cause.
