FULTON, NY – Oswego County Opportunities celebrates its 50th birthday with a “Fifty & Fabulous” party on April 9, as part of the annual Bow-A-Fun.
Special emcee George Hoffman from The Dinosaur radio stations will provide music and trivia contests throughout the afternoon.
One of OCO’s most popular community events and fundraisers, this year’s Bowl-A-Fun brings a party atmosphere with plenty of fun.
The bowling tournament will provide keen competition among the agency’s major sponsors from noon to 2:30 p.m.
“Right afterwards, we’ll get this party started with open bowling, prize drawings, raffles including 50/50, live entertainment, and of course refreshments and a great big cake,” said Diane Cooper-Currier, OCO’s executive director.
Admission to the party is by ticket only, but tickets are free and available at several OCO offices.
Call 598-4717 to find out where.
“Tickets are going fast, so be sure to get yours before April 1,” Cooper-Currier said.
Hoffman, who is a Navy veteran and also an OCO employee, can be heard on The Dinosaur radio stations – FM 87.7, 94.1, 95.3, 103.7, 103.9 and AM 1340 – every Thursday at 8:20 a.m.
“We appreciate The Dinosaur’s generous support for OCO by providing airtime to promote our ‘Fifty and Fabulous’ birthday celebration,” Cooper-Currier said.
Those attending the Bowl-A-Fun and party at Lakeview Lanes on April 9 will be treated to music by The Dinosaur, as well as some special performances by Tom Gilbo as Elvis and Camillus Connection.
Hoffman will also be sharing trivia questions about OCO and other topics.
“We’ll have some fun prizes for those who can answer the questions correctly,” Cooper-Currier said. “So be sure to brush up on your knowledge about Oswego County Opportunities!”
