OSWEGO, NY – Modern Country act Dirtroad Ruckus will headline Oswego Speedway’s Budweiser Classic Weekend Party in the Pits on September 2, beginning at 7:30 p.m., as the ‘Steel Palace’ celebrates the 60th anniversary of Classic Weekend.
The infield Party in the Pits returns to its Friday night home in 2016, kicking off at the conclusion of qualifying time trials for the Novelis Supermodified Budweiser International Classic 200 as well as time trials and heats for the Pathfinder Bank SBS Bud Light Classic.
The Party in the Pits is free to all in attendance.
Featuring modern country, with a side of southern, Dirtroad Ruckus calls upon the influences of Luke Bryan, Eric Church, Jason Aldean, Blake Shelton and more to put together a four hour set of rocking entertainment.
“With the change to the racing schedule this Classic Weekend, the timing was right to bring back the Friday night Party in the Pits,” said Oswego Speedway Public Relations Director, Dan Kapuscinski. “With only $5 admission into the grandstands for qualifying, and free seating for weekend ticket holders, we are looking forward to a big crowd making their way to the pit area right after the action to enjoy the live music of Dirtroad Ruckus, driver autograph sessions from your top qualifiers, as well as the return of the Party in the Pits fireworks display to the evening.”
The Party in the Pits fireworks show is scheduled to begin at approximately 9:30 p.m. that evening before Dirtroad Ruckus concludes its set and finishes the night.
Friday’s overall schedule on Classic Weekend will see pit gates opening at 11:30 a.m. with hot laps for Novelis Supermodifieds and Pathfinder Bank SBS running from 1 p.m. to 5:15 p.m.
SBS time trials will then take place at 5:30 p.m. followed by Supermodified Pole Day time trials and SBS heat races.
When the final checkered flag falls, Dirtroad Ruckus will hit the stage at approximately 7:30 p.m.
The Party in the Pits, highlighted by Dirtroad Ruckus, will begin a weekend of main event racing featuring the NASCAR Whelen Modified Classic 150 and the Bud Light ISMA Super Nationals on September 3 followed by the 25th anniversary Bud Light SBS Classic and the 60th Budweiser International Classic 200 for Supermodifieds on September 4.
