DNA Helps Solve Hannibal Library Break-in

State Police say they used DNA evidence to solve a burglary and theft at the Hannibal Public Library.

Police allege that Hilario Tello, 37, broke into the library in August, 2010 and left with one of the library’s laptop computers.

But troopers recovered DNA evidence from the scene. Police say the DNA was analyzed and it led directly to Tello.

He was charged with burglary. Tello is scheduled to return to Hannibal Town Court on January 8.
