Dominica “Dee” Jung, 82, of Oswego, and formerly of Stuart, Florida passed away June 1, 2011 at St. Luke Health Service.
Born in Oswego, she was the daughter of the late Frank Talamo and Marion (Taldebone) Cianfrogna.
She was educated in Oswego Schools.
Dee worked as a Secretary for Stone and Webster Engineering Corp for over 20 years. She was an avid bowler and a member of the Oswego Women’s Bowling Assoc and a member of the “600” club. She was an avid reader, loved the beach and taking walks. Dee enjoyed baking especially apple pies.
Surviving are her children, Sharon (Emil) VanBuren and David Jung, both of Oswego; two brothers, Anthony (Shirley) Talamo of Auburn; George (Billie) Talamo of Florida; four grandchildren, Kristina Whitely, Kelly VanBuren, Bethany Jung and Brittany Jung; two great-grandchildren, Faith Whitely, Emily Whitely; several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband, Eugene “Whitey” Jung in 2007 and a stepfather, Salvatore Cianfrogna in 1989.
Funeral services will be held 10a.m. Saturday at Nelson Funeral Home. Burial will be in St. Peter’s Cemetery.
Calling hours will be held 5-7p.m. Friday at the funeral home, 11 West Albany St. Oswego.
