FULTON, NY – Donald A. Phillips, 90, of Fulton, passed away on Wednesday January 6, 2016, at St. Luke Health Services in Oswego.
He was a member of Carpenters’ Local 277 for 68 years.
Donald was a World War II veteran, fought in the Battle of the Bulge and was a recipient of the Purple Heart.
He took great pride in the three homes he built, enjoyed gardening and loved to bake.
Along with his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Catherine Modie Phillips, in 2006; and several siblings.
Donald leaves behind two daughters, Sandy (Joe) Sluzar of West Monroe and Jeanette (Pete) McRae of Falls Church, Virginia; one granddaughter, Danielle (Dustin) Clark; two great-grandsons, Mason and Jacob; three brothers, Robert, Ted and Lawrence; two sisters, Thelma March and Betty Murphy; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held on Sunday from 1-3 p.m. at Foster Funeral Home, 910 Fay St., Fulton.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, January 11, at 11:30 a.m. at Holy Trinity Church, corner of Rochester and South Third streets in Fulton.
Spring burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Fulton.
